A number of projects in China have been introduced:
SCThread: Protein Structure Prediction was proposed by researchers from ICT, CAS, designing algorithm to predict the structure of new proteins.
BES:High Energy Physics Simulation High energy physics computing types includes monte carlo, reconstruction, and user analysis
Computing for Clean Water for helping the people who have lack access to safe drinking water or little water all over the world.
PEARL: Probing Entity Aggregation in Real Life Study the transmission patterns of infectious respiratory diseases, collecting data from smart phone, contact networks can be constructed and studied. http://bioinfo.ict.ac.cn/pearl/
CAS@HOME was the first (launched since June 2010) and only volunteer project in mainland China.
