Applications are invited for the position of Researcher Technician l leader within an interdisciplinary research team at UCL to play a role in the ERC funded project ECSAnVis. The project takes the ambitious step of developing geographical analysis and visualisation tools that can be used, successfully, by people with limited literacy, in a culturally appropriate way. The project includes working with marginalised, non-literate communities in remote areas (e.g. Cameroon rainforest) with the aim to enable them to conduct their own environmental monitoring or mapping. The successful candidate will join a team of anthropologists, geo-information scientists, human-computer interaction experts and computer scientists and will support the research efforts undertaken within the scope of this project.
